Craven Company built this custom duplex designed by renowned architect Matthew Collins of Uptic Studios. Craven Company managed all facets (and self-performed many) of this challenging hillside build, from building on a steep slope and complex modern details, to working with a short build season. The 6,600 square foot structure was elevated on a massive steel frame which was anchored to the hillside with 50 helical piers buried 18 feet. A bridge joins the homes and to adjacent Blizzard Brive. Each 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home features a 2 car garage over living space, features concrete floors throughout, in-floor hydronic heating, cross laminated timber custom floating stairs, cozy wood burning fireplaces, and stunning views of Schweitzer Mountain from the primary suite and living room.
